My Doctor is Dr. Jaime Ponce. He is a general surgeon practicing here in Dalton, Georgia. If you speak to anyone about the lap band, they will agree that their doctor is the best. I can confirm this. I had the best surgeon ever for my surgery. Dr. Ponce has performed many bands. While he was training in Mexico with Dr. Sanchez he performed over 100 of the lap band procedures. He became certified to do the Lap Band in the United States and has FDA approval to do them here in Dalton. He was finally finished with all the red tape and was supervised during my surgery by the FDA and Dr. Rumbart and is now an FDA approved surgeon for the band here at Hamilton Medical Center.
